Bleach: Heat the Soul is a series of 3-D cel-shaded fighting games for the PSP based on the manga and anime series Bleach by Tite Kubo. Each installment was developed by Eighting and published by SCEI. All installments have been released only in Japan. Each installment has several methods of play, with different types of game modes. New games have introduced additional modes that usually carry over to the sequels. Using characters taken directly from Bleach. Are you using waifu2x? If so, I would recommend switching to ESRGAN. I can show you an example of what is possible if you send me one of the character portraits from the game.

the filters you see in the video are the default ppsspp filters. i havent ai upscaled any textures. only textures in this pack are the custom ones made by me. if i decide to do a whole HD upgrade of the game then sure. but im not sure how much interest there is in that. this is pretty much just a passion project for me.

All 26 main story missions (01-EXTRA) and cutscenes are fully translated.
Replaced ingame story previews with relevant pictures from the anime.
New UI and backgrounds to give it a fresh look.

It works before you start the practice but
*the In-Game training options has a different value for every character combo, so the game loads a different address for ichigo vs rukia and ichigo vs renji. there are 80+ characters in the game so im prolly not gonna finish that*
FIXED SOME ALIGNMENT ISSUES AND CHARACTER SELECT NAME SIZES

Also I tried playing around with ersgan (on my laptop) since it looks like im taking this project a bit more serious but I guess its bad with AMD gpus?? I'm gonna give it a shot on my PC when I get home.

Turns out I should have read that 'how to make texture packs' tutorial all the way lmfao cause the fix was easy and saves alot of time.

Yeah, it REALLY doesn't like AMD GPUs. I'm tempted to say that it's not even worth trying. ESRGAN is a complex beast and you need the right models. That said, send me a character portrait and I can start finding a good model right away if you want. That way, you can begin right after you finish setup. Worst case scenario, I do have a 6GB Nvidia GPU if you need me to upscale everything for you.

Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 Trial - NPJG90020
This trial game was tested with revision 5b6966e. Since this particular EBOOT.PBP is in the 'MG' category and not 'EG' category, JPCSP has trouble directly loading the file (since the KIRK key (0x60) for this PRX type is still unknown). When attempting to load this EBOOT.PBP file, the emulator will display 'General error: File format not supported!'. As stated in this Wololo.net post, there are a couple of steps that need to be taken before this trial game could run on emulators.
Procedure:
1) Extract the contents of the EBOOT.PBP with software such as PBP Unpacker 0.94
2) Use a real PSP to decrypt/decompress the DATA.PSP file with the homebrew application PRXdecrypter 2.7a
3) Assemble the EBOOT.PBP back together by using the new decrypted/decompressed DATA.PSP with PBP Unpacker 0.94
The new EBOOT.PBP plays fine on PPSSPP, but has a problem loading on JPCSP. On JPCSP, the following appears on the log endlessly while displaying a black screen:

The game still displays a black screen on revision cbc09e5. The game also seems to stop loading after a minute and stays in an idle state. There aren't any noticeable errors in the log (only WARN messages).

I added the following to LogSettings.xml to see if the game would advance any further but it would stop at the same point:

When the PSP System Files are in the flash0 directory, the log will instead display:

This is the root issue and happens while loading the demo.
Could you please start Jpcsp, enable the TRACE level, load the demo and press run. I just need the log file for one second, just to make sure the loading is complete.
